Firion
Name: Firion
Japanese name: フリオニール (Furionīru)
Also known as: Frioniel, のばら (Nobara - Wild Rose), Rosebud (just LOL)
Hails from: Final Fantasy II
Fighting type: Weapon Master / Weapon Specialist
Seiyuu/Voice Actor: Hikaru Midorikawa / Johnny Yong Bosch
Manliness Level: 7/10 (strong warrior, but stfu about the roses, dude)
Story
Ah, Nobara. ♥ Firion was a rebel fighter back in FFII who used key terms to get through the story; apparently "wild rose" is the only one that stuck. He fights to end the war so that there can be a place where wild roses bloom, and he'll make sure you know it. The guy has a fixation with flora, man. At least Terra supports it.
Thoughts
Firion amuses me in the game with all his talk of wild roses, but he's also a huge nostalgia rush (he's always been my favorite FFII character). He's one of the characters I'm not half bad using, which helps. His alternate form is quite something, though — talk about a difference from gullible Firion! One has to wonder if he gets tired from hauling all his weapons around, though...
Gameplay
Firion's a character that's easy to pick up from the start with his versatile attacks, especially his Straightarrow HP Attack that lets him do good damage at a safe distance. His chained attacks have the same concept: draw the enemy close, attack madly, then fling them away.
Firion's good at both short- and long-range combat, so the key to fighting him is evasion and retaliation. If you overpower him and don't let him chain attacks, he's manageable.
